Carbon Black Furnace
The carbon black manufacturing furnace is a chemical reaction furnace that produces carbon black (fine carbon particles) by the high-temperature incomplete combustion and thermal decomposition of hydrocarbon feedstocks such as heavy oil, natural gas, and acetylene.
Examples of Refractory Applications
| Part | Main Refractory Used | Properties |
|---|---|---|
| ①Burner and Flame Contact Area | Pure alumina brick, high-alumina refractory | Heat resistance, resistance to reducing conditions |
| ②Reaction Chamber (High-Temperature Zone) | Pure alumina brick, alumina-zirconia refractory | Heat resistance, abrasion resistance, thermal shock resistance, resistance to reducing conditions |
| ③Waste Heat Recovery Section (Downstream) | High-alumina refractory | Heat resistance, abrasion resistance |
| ④Insulation Layer (Outer Perimeter) | Lightweight insulating brick, insulating castable | Low thermal conductivity |
